Take Over the Willard Park Blog!

Hi Folks,

You might have noticed that the Willard Park Blog posts dried up over the last couple of months. Christine and I moved to Cincinnati to be close to our families.

Willard is a great neighborhood and I would love to have someone else take over this site. Let me know if you are interested and I'll set you up with an account. I host the site with a free service so you won't be taking on any hosting costs but you might need to re-register willardpark.com in a few years.

Thanks again to all the people sent me information and comments.

Will you blog about your new neighborhood?

I haven't lived in Berkeley for more than a week, so I can't blog about Willard Park neighborhood without "training". Anyway I'm just commenting because I want to solicit your consultation on community webbing and the prospects for a wiki I just started working on: http://baysearch.wikidot.com

I have no idea where this is going or even if "bay area" is the right region to focus on instead of Berkeley or even UC Berkeley. I pretty much just want to see an very inclusive and very public (although a bit on the anarchocommunist side) library of highly usable documentation for community organization.

So, even if you consider yourself unqualified, or don't know how to respond, I would appreciate any input you can muster.

Its too sad that you have not updated the blog. Heard that you have not been living in the Berkeley area. I really enjoyed your stories about Willard Park. Hope you return soon

Dear Mark,

PLease take note there was a burglary today between the hours of 10:30 am and 12:30 pm on Woolsey street. I'm sorry you moved but it makes sense to me right now.

Jeez, sorry to hear about the burglary. Moving to Cincinnati for me was to be close to family. I still really love Berkeley and we've been trying to bring a little bit of Berkeley to Cincinnati. My wife and I are planning to open a small bakery here modeled after some of the great stuff we'd get from Cheeseboard, Nabolom, La Farine and other place. Just came across this blog today. Looks like you never did find anyone to take over. What a shame. We love Willard Park!
